Si En Wong
Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor
I have a wide range of experience in both hospitals and private practice, including work with local communities in rural WA.
I enjoy working with a variety of people, be it children who are starting to become more active or the wiser generation to help them with day to day activities. My approach is to treat every relationship I have with clients as a partnership. I want to make sure you understand what is going on and how we can overcome it together. I want to know you as an individual, your beliefs of what has happened, what your lifestyle is like. From there we can work together to achieve your goals.
I am passionate about Clinical Pilates as I believe it is something everyone can do, there is no pre-requisite. Clinical Pilates can help with strength training or improving flexibility. It is a great rehabilitation tool. I am also trained in dry needling. I use it as a treatment tool for muscle relaxation and trigger point release. I love it as it’s straight to the point – literally!
Being from Malaysia, I can speak fluently in Mandarin, Bahasa Malay and English. Besides loving physiotherapy, I love food. I enjoy baking and exploring new eateries/cafes around Perth. On my free days, you can find me working out at the gym doing weights or even floor based pilates.
My areas of clinical interest include:
- Chronic back & hip pain
- Shoulder, arm & wrist injuries
- Sports injuries
- Neck pain & headaches
- Ankle sprains
- Clinical Pilates – private & small groups
- Dry needling
- Falls prevention
- Ergonomics/postural pain
- Women’s health – stomach diastasis, pre & post pregnancy, pelvic floor
